PSA provides students the opportunity to attend a Texas A&M University system institution with the goal of enrolling at Texas A&M in College Station after one year.
Visit the Driven to Protect Discovery Hub sysgem learn about the dangers of alcohol—impaired driving and the innovative technology the DADSS Program is developing to make our roads and highways safer. Every year in the U. Despite progress over the past three decades, protram driving claims approximately 10, lives each year. The technology will automatically detect when a driver is intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration BAC progrm or above i.
Once it has met rigorous performance standards, it will be what is a money market fund offered as a safety option in new vehicles — like automatic braking, lane departure warning and other what is a holly tree driver assist vehicle technologies.
Watch our August "Ask The Experts" presentation for more on the technology development process. Congress and safety advocates nationwide are supporting the effort, making DADSS part of a multi-faceted national commitment to reduce and help eliminate drunk driving. The research and testing is being overseen by a team wha independent engineers and scientists, and will be further tested under real-world operating conditions before it is made available as a consumer option.
The goal of the DADSS Research Program is to systm the state of alcohol detection technology by developing a system that is fast, accurate, reliable and affordable — all without affecting normal driving behavior. The program is exploring two different technologies for installation in new vehicles: a breath-based system and a touch-based system. This system measures alcohol as a driver breathes normally, when in the driver's seat.
It will be integrated into current vehicle controls, such prpgram the start button or steering wheel, and take multiple, accurate readings. When the Program began inDADSS focused on research and creation of proof-of-concept laboratory prototypes to determine which technologies were most promising for vehicle integration.
InACTS and NHTSA extended their agreement shstem further develop and test the breath-based and touch-based prototypes to reduce the size and ensure they meet strict performance standards related to speed, accuracy, precision and reliability.
As part of the ongoing research, the prototypes will be integrated into vehicles for a series of field tests, which will allow engineers to observe driver behavior in natural settings and thoroughly test the systems in real-world scenarios. It will take time for this pioneering technology to be available commercially, but developing a system that is seamless, accurate and reliable is the first step and a top priority.

The Promoting Interoperability Programs previously known as The Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Records EHR Incentive Programs will provide incentive payments to eligible professionals and eligible hospitals as they demonstrate adoption, implementation, upgrading, or meaningful use of certified EHR technology. These interoperability programs are designed to support providers in this period of Health IT transition and instill the use of EHRs in meaningful ways to help our nation to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient health care.
This web system is for the Promoting Interoperability Programs. Those wanting to take part in the program will use this system to register and participate in the program. Additional Resources: For User Guides to Registration that will show you how to complete these modules, a list of EHR technology that is certified for this program, specification sheets with additional information on each Meaningful Use objective, and other general resources that will help you complete registration, please visit CMS website.
Eligible to Participate - There are two types of groups who can participate in the programs. For detailed information, visit CMS website.
